9/24 Luke 12-14

Luke 12 has just a great section of scriptures on worry.  I know sometimes I worry about things that have yet to happen.  Things like power outages where I will have to reboot or the air conditioning might not work right on a Sunday morning.  You get the picture.  Others may worry about a speech they have to give next week or a meeting with the boss.  Or maybe the board of directors are asking for the impossible from the CEO.  We worry about the outcomes that haven’t even happened yet.  What if I fail or what if I look silly.  Say something wrong.  Yet none of it has happened yet.  Sometimes, well all of the time, it is better to just listen to the words of Jesus and realize how valuable we are to God, and then seek after Him.

22Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 26Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?   Follow this link to continue reading
