10/10 Acts 4

Back in Chapter 3, Peter healed the crippled beggar and now the Sadducees have Peter and John arrested for teaching about the resurrection of the dead through Jesus.  So they are put in jail overnight and the next day brought before the rulers and High Priest.  They asked Peter by what power he healed the man.  This is his response:

8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! 9If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, 10then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11He is the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m thinking Peter is on fire, nothing can shut him up.  They realized it too.  They realized that Peter was just an ordinary person with no schooling and no great oratory skills.  However after 3 years with Jesus you can never be the same.  I think that holds true today.
